Supply of Artwork
General
The studio staff at Colourfoil are skilled in handling your product from start to finish and can cater for all your artworking requirements to ensure satisfaction. To help them produce the right results for you, the following guide lines should be used when preparing your artworks: -
Film
Supplied negative or positive, emulsion side down. Please supply a hardcopy proof with any film artwork.
Digital Files
We can accept artwork in most formats from MAC and PC, however we would recommend JPEG, TIFF*, EPS, PDF or QXD files to avoid disappointment. If supplying PDF files we would recommend that these be produced with aither photoshop or illustrator.
Digital files for engraving will need to be 100% black and white line art. Greyscale, CMYK or RGB will not be suitable, 1200dpi bitmap is fine. If you have any difficulty with the above, please call us for any advice or assistance.
Always convert text to outline or ensure that fonts are made available when supplying artwork for proofing.
* When saving files in TIFF format, do not use LZW compression.
